What has inspired this?

We are loing our skills, something that has been part of our culture and identity for generations, to globalisation.

England is closing down its potteries, and only a few potters are able to make a living out of their work.

Prosperous peoples desire for cheap goods is driving China's 'en masse' production of uniform goods.

Globalisation….is that really what we aspire to ?

I was living in London when the war in Iraq started.

We would hear on a daily basis on the radio about suicide bomb attacks in Iraq.

When the 7/7 attacks happened in London, the reality of the horror that was happening in Iraq became part of our life.

This work is in memory of the 52 victims of that day.
